What we do, Who we are

The Kansas Library Trustee Association is charged with promoting continuing education and support for Kansas library trustees throughout the states. We are also charged with building and maintaining a strong, viable and active advocacy group for trustees and Kansas Libraries. Or more simply, we are charged with making sure that trustees have access to information that helps them be better trustees. We also work towards getting trustees to voice their support of libraries in their communities and to their elected officials.

Our perfect board member is someone who currently serves, or who has served, as a library trustee. Our feeling being that trustees have a good feel for what successful trustees and boards need to know to help their library.
